I
have just recently purchased a wonderful handcarved ArchTop Jazz Guitar. I
have wanted a hand made Jazz Guitar all of my life and it is only now in my
life that I get what I want. The luthier, Alan Arnold
is a man who is not, as yet, a recognised maker but in my estimation has as
much feeling for guitar making as the benedetto's of this world. I do feel
that £25,000 for a Benedetto is a bit much to pay for a guitar. It is
out of my range as a guitarist and I think allways will be. Still thank God
for the Alan Arnolds of this world. I do feel
he will be up there with the rest of the great guitar makers in the near future.
His guitars range from £1000 upwards and you get more than you pay for.
He is meticulous with his finishes and his inlays are faultless. Most of all
the sounds from his instruments are fantastic. I have put a few of his guitars
on my site for you to have a look at and drool!!!!
